It started with smoothies and Instagram
When I first opened my vegan café “ DIVERS” in Belgium, I thought it would be a small passion project. I was posting smoothie bowls and avocado toast on Instagram, back when that was still new, and before I even opened the doors, there was a line outside. That moment changed everything.
It showed me how powerful branding and storytelling can be when they’re rooted in connection. I wasn’t trying to market myself. I was simply sharing what I loved, and people felt it. That’s the magic of an authentic brand.
People buy trust, not products
The biggest thing I’ve learned since then is that people don’t buy products. They buy trust.
A strong brand identity isn’t about perfection or fancy visuals. It’s about making people feel something consistent every time they see you. It’s the tone of voice, the emotion behind your visuals, and the way your values show up in everything you do.
When your brand shows up with clarity and warmth across every touchpoint — your website, Instagram, email, or packaging — people start to recognize you. And recognition builds trust.
The offline comeback
Right now, everyone is trying to build community online, but people are craving real connection again.
We’re tired of endless digital noise. What works today are moments that bring people together in person — walks, dinners, small curated gatherings that spark conversation. These experiences remind people that your brand is more than a logo. It’s something they can feel.
That’s also how my Aestetik Connections events began: an organic way to bring like-minded founders, creatives, and wellness lovers together in real life.
Give before you ask
So many brands lead with “sign up for 10% off.” But real connection happens when you give first. Offer something valuable — a guide, a checklist, a short training — before asking for someone’s email or purchase. It’s a small shift that builds so much more trust.
Back to basics
Even with AI reshaping how we create and connect, the fundamentals haven’t changed. People still want to feel understood. They still want beauty, emotion, and purpose.
